Magdalene Fields - Berwick upon Tweed

Established in 1903, with the initial layout of nine holes designed by Willie Park, the then Professional at Musselburgh. Magdalene Fields Golf Club enjoys a cliff top setting with coastal views southwards to Holy Island and northwards to Scotland. The 18 hole course is parkland with a typical links layout set outside the Elizabethan Walls of Berwick-upon-Tweed, where English and Scots battled for centuries for control of the Border Town.

Founded in 1890, the original nine holes were laid out by the famous Golf Architect James Braid and extended to 18 in 1864. In 1964, the first 9 holes were modified by Frank Pennick to give added yardage and remains much the same today. Visitors will find a friendly and informal atmosphere in the clubhouse with full catering.

Haggerston Castle Golf Course

Our 9-hole undulating course was completed in 1994 and has been constructed to a high standard with first class, well-designed greens, some of which are elevated with a double level.

Bamburgh Castle Golf Club

Perched on basalt outcrops overlooking the ancient fortress from which it takes its name, Bamburgh Castle Golf Club often referred to as the most picturesque in England is also a fine test of golf for all that play it, being a regular venue for County and Inter-County events.

The Belford

It's all change at Belford Golf Club which opened in 1993 as a 9 hole parkland course, but was renamed last year THE BELFORD.

THE BELFORD is overlooked by the magnificent 18th century Belford Hall and boasts panoramic views over the North Sea nature reserve of Lindisfarne & Holy Island.

Dozens of new trees have been added and 9 new tee boxes. Goflers wishing to play a full 18 holes will be able to play each hole from two different angles.

Although only 11 years old, this parkland course has matured and is great fun to play, but be warned, it's no push over!

Seahouses Golf Club

Seahouses Golf Course is one of the traditional Northumberland Golf Courses, with a standard scratch of 68 which is seldom bettered. This Northumberland golf course boasts two of the most prestigious par threes in the north of England.
